AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.

The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa attire for Naoe

• Survey Corps steed

Latest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery." This humorous quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic skills: Naoe debuts a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
