Democrats Release Most Recent Batch of Jeffrey Epstein Photos as Justice Department Time Limit Approaches

The House investigative committee has published a set of around 70 photos from the estate of late found guilty sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third release from a cache of over 95,000 photos the body has secured from Epstein's holdings. It contains images of quotes from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and redacted pictures of women's overseas passports.

This action arrives just hours before the December 19th due date for the Department of Justice to release all records associated with its inquiry into Epstein.

"These photos pose further questions about exactly what the DOJ has in its possession," stated the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Images Released

Some of the images released on this week show Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky inside a private plane; Bill Gates seen next to a female whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon positioned at a workstation opposite Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest wealthy, prominent figures to be seen in Epstein's estate photos published by the oversight panel - previously published images also include US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, ex- US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Appearing in the photographs is does not constitute indication of any misconduct, and several of the photographed men have asserted they were never involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a press release issued alongside the image disclosure, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not supply explanatory details or dates for the photographs.

"Images were chosen to provide the American people with transparency into a illustrative selection of the photographs obtained from the property, and to provide insights into Epstein's circle and his profoundly alarming actions," the statement says.

The release also features multiple photographs of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita inscribed in dark ink across various areas of a woman's body, such as her chest, lower extremity, pelvis, and rear. Lolita recounts the account of a young girl who was groomed by a older literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the book inscribed across a female's chest states, "Lolita's name: the point of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a number of images of women's identification and ID papers from states around the world, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the data on the IDs, such as identities and birth dates, is censored but the committee stated in a announcement that the passports pertain to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were interacting with".

A further image features Epstein seated at a table in close proximity surrounded by three women whose faces have been censored - one has her palm on Epstein's torso under his garment, and another individual is bending to view a close-by laptop. Epstein seems to be aiding the third individual attach a wristband.

A further photo disclosed is a capture of text messages from an unnamed person who says they have been sent "some girls" and are requesting "$$1,000 per girl".

Photograph Release Occurs Ahead of DOJ Cut-off

The committee has many thousands of photographs in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "simultaneously explicit and everyday," its announcement on this week explained.

The House Oversight Committee first subpoenaed the property of Epstein, who died in a New York jail in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photographs and files the Epstein estate gave to the committee are different than what is commonly termed "Epstein-related records". Those are papers in the DOJ's possession associated with its own inquiry into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President signed into law recently, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to release its files. The extent of the contents included in the DOJ's records is unclear, and it's probable that much of the information will be significantly redacted, akin to the committee's releases
