Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak was ended by Sunderland before the global break, but can the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is out on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

The Cherries have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's sole on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

Fulham have got lots of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

Their display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's home record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
