Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted debris landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some material damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
