Inter striker Lautaro Martínez scored a second-half double to earn his side a 2-0 win at Pisa, keeping the away side very much involved in the Italian league championship battle despite a less than convincing display.

Across in Spain, the Basque side staged a thrilling fightback from 2-0 down to equalize at home against Villarreal, only to lose to a goal five minutes into added time. The visitors’ goals came from Ayoze Pérez shortly after the half-hour mark and Alberto Moleiro in the 57th minute, but Carlos Soler quickly reduced the deficit and Ander Barrenetxea leveled the score three minutes from time. However, Moleiro had the last word late in stoppage time.
Later on Spanish fixture, Real Madrid travel to Girona needing a win to return to the top ahead of Barcelona, who recorded a 3-1 win over Alavés on Saturday.
